A key part of our heritage, the track jacket is a recognisable Fred Perry icon and one of our most enduring pieces. Taken from a time when bold colours and man-made fibres were first introduced to team kits, the track jacket was later adopted into British subculture, taking centre stage in the Britpop era. Since then it’s never quite lost its cheeky appeal. A near-replica of the original, our taped track jacket is constructed from the same cotton/polyester tricot with signature design details. The white coil zip and Laurel Wreath track tape were once a sign of the cash-strapped times of the ‘70s, when branding had to be generic to all colours. It’s a feature we’ve very much grown to like.
